Peggy Compton
To create is a gift from the creator
I feel each person is endowed with a gift from the beginning of their life journey.
Since I was a child I would draw and color on the butcher paper our meat was wrapped in.
It is awesome to see the beauty around us and in our mind, and express it in a painting.
I was born and raised in Western Washington, near the Canadian Border, and moved to Alaska with my husband. We spent 23 years there.4 years ago we moved to North Idaho. I have always been blessed to be surrounded by beautiful scenery.
Some of my art can be seen in Hospitals, Colleges, Dr.Offices, coins, private and Professional Murals, as well as and the National award Winning Mural at the Alaska State Fair.
Other art venues including: illustrating 7 published books, teaching art classes, winning blue ribbons for art at fairs and other events, Also winning best of show at the Mat-Su College, and was commissioned to paint the window murals at the Palmer AK visitors center.
